so just randomly i want a high waisted bikini for summer 2010. im going on a family vacation in may to north carolina and i want a high waisted bikini...ive actually wanted one for a while..but now im dead serious lol

not too many girls rock it so not only is it stand out but i love the vintage feel of it. so this is my next IT fashion thing for the summer.

in other terms i wanna go to a place where everyone is mentally free and expressing everything with in their hearts and souls. the clothes they wear reflect the state of mind they are in and the word strange doesnt exist. i fantasize about living in a place where tattoos are an everyday thing and the word conservative just doesnt make sense...ultimately i just want to be in a place where i have absolutely no restrictions on TRULY BEING ME. thats my fantasy.

so the older i get.. (ill be 19 in a month) the more i discover myself and the more i realize that i am so much bolder, faster, stronger, braver then i could ever imagine years ago. as you already know i shaved the sides and back of my head...but funny thing is everyone keeps calling me brave..so ive sat down and thought about things...and i realized that im comfortable being the odd one out..sure i complain here and there at the loneliness aspect but i enjoy being different. I PRIDE MYSELF on being strange.."i got that lady gaga swagg" honestly i wouldnt be the etta i am today without going through the adversities of people making fun of the one thing they will never understand about me..my ability to do the opposite of the crowd. shaving my head was shaving away my mom telling me no and not "go crazy and lose my mind" with what i decide to do with my hair. shaving my head was shaving away the idea of having to see strands of hair on my head to feel beautiful.. i cant say this enough....but cutting my hair paints such a bigger picture and i know im helping someone who is reading this...beauty comes from within...confidence is self made...no one else in this world will be confident for you...idk im just happy at my general growth into becomming the person that i am..and i have no other plans but to continue to explore the greatness within me and live my life by my pencil and sketch pad and those thoughts that others would be afraid to pay attention to.

you know recently ive just grown to have so much respect for solange knowles and her idividuality...initaly i shut her down and was like everbody else and called her a second rate version of her sister but..im digging solange's style..she doesnt try to be like anyone else and not to mention her son is sooo cute :) here a pics of her with long hair rocking her eyeliner the way she likes and a cute pic of her more recently with her short hair. i like her better with short hair. so facebook had this thing where you put your profile pic as a celeb lookalike and i chose this pic of keri hilson...ive been called keri hilson before..so its cool. i strategically picked this pic though cause this was when she did a michael jackson tribute and i loved her outfit..and yess i would totally wear it..a modern tribute to MJ loved it

so today i went furniture shopping with my aunt cause she wanted a new coffee table and it was 73 DEGREES! i so dont miss connecticut weather when im in texas and its 73 degrees out here in houston..but anyways.... point is.. i was in the store and bad romance came on the radio..then later i was waiting for my aunt in her car and bad romance was on the radio...POINT BLACK PERIOD I love lady gaga. and i was jamming to her fame monster CD all day today. im so excited for the telephone video feat beyonce cause i know its gonna be cool to see beyonce in the world of gaga as opposed to gaga acting like beyonce in the videophone video...so here in honor of my love for gaga is some pics i found while surfing the web and searching gaga art.

so just recently i found out that my sister is having another boy...and im adding YET ANOTHER NEPHEW to my family...i was a little dissapointed cause i wanted another niece but WHATEVER i love all my nephews and one niece lol...

now is the time to remember the greatness that lies within our beautiful brown skin. we have overcome adversity with grace...and just recently have shown that its never too late to do something great. obama is indeed our president and obama and his family have brown skin indeed...princess tiana is brown and she's in disney doing her thing so please people...lets not go back...lets not entertain steretypes but lets break them..i refuse to be like the rest of society and stuck in mental slavery...i would hate myself for being the cause of someone living out stereotypes and being the example that alll ___ do that... society will say one thing but i dare you guys...BROWN OR WHITE .. i dare you guys to go against society..ignore color..AND BE YOU! <3

OMG ETTA WHAT DID YOU DO TO YOUR HAIR?!?

so just recently i pulled a cassie/alice dellal/rihanna/britney and shaved the sides and back of my head...so basically its a mohawk gone short...so everyone asked the question WHY when they saw it....

I DID IT BECAUSE I COULD...and cutting my hair is a emotional thing for me because when i cut it...it forces me to be completely confident in my look and who i am...like my friends say when they react to my new haircuts .. "etta you have guts" its a power thing...i not only feel hardcore but i feel amazing when i can look in the mirror and literally be like 80% blad and STILL SEE BEAUTY <3
so moral of the story...NEVER BE AFRAID to try something new...AND I MEAN NEVER...when it comes to beauty...taking risks is the most gorgeous thing you could ever do.

im just that cool..

so i was one the phone with a friend and facebook had this thing where people were putting profile pics of celebrities that they look like...so that lead me to ask my friend "if you could think of a celebrity that i remind you of..who would it be?"

he went on to telling me that there is no one and i have my own look :)

but here's the best part he continued saying "your your own person..you have that rihanna and lady gaga swag..you dont look like either one of them but you got that swagg like them..you stand out"

H-TOWN LIVING

so the first thing i did when i got down there was EAT <3 you dont have to tell me that im fat. I ALREADY KNOW lol


i got my first piece of mail to my texas address the day after i arrived.


i had to take the stupid SATs at some random high school...but i wore my michael jackson t-shirt and a long gold chain so i was ready for that TEST! michael was by my side.

so really i am all for making new friends. and not too long ago i got a friend request from probably one of the coolest chicks youll ever meet lol. her names keshia marie...and she has amazing style as seen in these photos. not too many people can rock 80s fashion without looking like a poser or someone who is claiming to "be different" but judging from these pics you can tell that thats just her...so that put a smile on my face to know that i made a cool friend today lol btw now i think i want a bow tie necklace :)

recent outfits.....so here are pics of me recently either bored or welll yeah....real bored lol i wore my newest michael jackson t-shirt recently so i took a snapshot and the other...well i just liked my outfit lol bout a new necklace at forever 21 so i wanted to wear it as soon as i got down here to h-town....if your wondering how h-town is treating me? its treating me alright i guess. it has its ups and downs. for a girl who is moving miles away from her family for the first time. im doing pretty good. i dont miss ct and it's cold winters...but i miss the people i love who happen to live there :( ill be okay cause everything happens for a reason and maybe im here to inluence some people with my style and east coast flava LOL

so recently i was searching lady gaga and rihanna art on deviantart.com cause idk i just love lady gaga and rihanna so im always searching good pics for twitter backgrounds...desktop backgrounds ect or just to inspire me to draw something. i stumble upon these photos in the digital art section.





so after being higly blown away and interested in these pics i decided to do a self portrait of my own and transfer my art skills from my hand and pencil to a mouse and on the computer. so it took forever but i painted over a pic of me. and edited it to later create my own creatin that right now has no title. but im really proud of this cause this pic represents me expanding my skills in art...so here is the GREATNESS

LAST TRIP TO THE MALL IN CT!

so me, my sister renee, my best friend brittney and my sister's best friend lili went to the mall yesterday. i leave tommorow for "h-town" so yesterday was a nice day to just hang with the girls. i wanted to post about some of the cool stuff i found in forever 21. i didnt purchase everything BUT the stuff was cute. so maybe when i get back to houston ill get it from a forever 21 there. my bestie lili had her camera so we roamed around and tried on things. heres some pics.
